Kortvending. Et moralsk-allegorisk skuespil fra Frederik II.'s tid, udgivet af Soph. Birket Smith.

Copenhagen: G. S. Wibes Bogtrykkeri, 1866. 8vo, pp. [ii], 110; presentation copy to George Stephens from Smith, torn at spine; good in original plain tan wrappers. One of the few pre-Reformation morality plays, written by Hans Sthen who was also a lyrical poet. The title translates to ""Change of Fortune""; the play is really a collection of monologues to be delivered by students. Smith, a 19th-century scholar of early Danish drama, provides textual and literary background. Stephens notes on front wrapper: ""Only 25 copies printed of this overprint."" Item #12127
