First edition, 8vo, pp. 238, [2]; tables of alphabets, Greek and roman type throughout; nice, uncut copy in recent blue paper-covered boards, paper label on spine. Sharpe (1713-1771) was a noted theologian and a classical and oriental scholar who wrote on a variety of subjects, including law and universal history, and in1766 published John Locke's Observations on Vines and Olives from the original manuscript.
