The pseudonymous (accepted as Miles Franklin) author's second, third, and fourth books, a trilogy dealing with early settlements in Australia. 3 volumes, 8vo, dust-jackets, that on Ten Creeks Run a little chipped with a small piece missing from the border of the front panel; otherwise very good set. "Up the Country is a chronicle-story of settlement begun in the Monaro district of south-eastern New South Wales about 1830, and carries to the end of the 1860s. Ten Creeks Run follows the fortunes of the same family to the mid 1890s.
