II; generally a good, sound set or better, and contained in a quarter brown morocco slipcase (a little scuffed) lettered in gilt on spine. Both volumes with the bookseller label of Coale & Littell, Baltimore; and the bookplate of E. Hubert Litchfield. Preceded by the London edition which was published about 3 weeks earlier.
