First edition, tall 8vo, pp. xvi, 272; frontispiece, plates (mostly photographic portraits), and charts throughout; ex-library with manuscript call number in white ink at lower spine, a little wear to extremities, and a handful of signatures starting; a good, sturdy copy overall, in contemporary if not original green cloth lettered in gilt on spine. A native Milwaukeean, Frank (1857-1918) practiced in dermatology and has been credited with introducing x-ray technology to the treatment of skin disorders. His Medical History includes more than 180 biographies of Milwaukee physicians, most with portraits, and number of comparative charts examining primary causes of death, age at death, etc., during 1834-1914.
