Ewell, dated Williamsburg, VA, Feb, 7th, 1885 bound in; title page starting to detach, else interior very good. Ewell, originally a Confederate soldier before becoming the 16th president of the College, addresses Horace L. Wheeler (?), librarian, apologizing for the delay in sending a copy of "The History" due to Wheeler's letter having been mislaid. Item #41094
