[Rochester, N.Y. Rochester Lithography and Printing Co., n.d. ca. 1910. Oblong 8vo, containing a random assortment of 77 plates of flowering fruits, trees, shrubs, ornamentals, etc., approximately two-thirds of which are chromolithographs, the balance from color photography; tipped to the front free endpaper is a folding leaflet issued by the Western New York Nursery Co. showing basic landscape designs; contemporary if not original olive green cloth with the hand-written label on the upper cover reading "Mother Earth," the name of the nursery owned by A. F[erdine] Langlois who owned and operated Mother Earth Nursery in Port Huron, Michigan. He had been previously employed - as early as 1892 - at the Greening Landscaping Company in Monroe, Michigan, for whom he is known to have composed at least one extensive trade catalogue.
