Tall 8vo (approx. 10" x 4½"), pp. 6; 2 folding panels with columns of 9 wood samples (2.5 x 7cm) each (total of 36) of interior finishes of floor, wall and trim varnishes with description printed in black on cloth in the margins; text printed on paste-downs of panels describing each wood dye, stain, and varnish, also specifications for finishing new woodwork; minor soiling to interior, extremities have some spotting on lower edge of rear cover, else near fine in original blue cloth with gilt-lettered upper cover and decorative logo stamped in gilt, in original postmarked packaging (soiled and stained). OCLC locates only a 1910 edition at Berkeley, that copy with just 4 wood samples. Item #43747
