Second edition, with large additions, 8vo, p. viii, unpaginated text in double column, ix-xii (i.e. a and a2 misbound at end between 2L3 and 2L4), 2pp., errata plus ads; A4 a2 B-2K8 2L6; text illustrations, diagrams, and equations throughout, lexicon printed in double column; full contemporary calf, printed paper spine label; joints cracked, calf peeling, early ownership signature of William Dickson, Jr., Speight's Town, Barbados, April 26, 1777 on paste-down, internally fine. Stone (d. 1768) was 18-years old before he learned to read, but afterwards made extraordinary progress.
