I-III title pages; full contemporary calf, red and green gilt lettering pieces (two perished); joints all quite weak, Vol. I upper cover separated, that of Vol. IV nearly so; textblocks fine. Engraved contemporary bookplates on front pastedowns. Author dedication in verse printed at the beginning of Vol. IV was published incomplete: "It is presumed the sudden death of the Author will sufficiently apologize for the Dedication remaining unfinished"; this printed note followed by the autograph signature of publisher John Churchill, the author's executor.
