A collection of 109 offprints

v.p. ca. 1910-1930. 109 volumes, mostly 8vo; many illustrated; all in wrappers save for a few broadsheets and bifolia; all about fine. A few bear the rubber stamp of the Cleveland Clinic, which Crile co-founded in 1921. Offprints of medical papers, mostly concerning surgery, cancer, and hyperthyroidism. Includes several pieces on military medicine based on the author's service during World War I. Crile is best remembered today as the first surgeon to successfully accomplish a direct blood transfusion. His contributions to modern-day neck surgery are also highly represented in this collection.
