The date on the cover is noted as 1921, though the text clearly comes from the same textblock as other copies of the 1913 edition. It's likely that the gatherings were remainders bound just prior to the 1921 edition going to print. Pacifique de Valigny, née Henri-Joseph-Louis Buisson, was a Capucin French missionary who wrote and published a number of religious materials for the benefit of the Mi'kmaq and Gaspe people.
