Second edition (following that of 1748), 8vo, pp. [28], 678, [18] (index); contemporary full calf; small tear to front corner of half-title, light to moderate rubbing, and browning of text; a very good copy. Gottsched (1700-1766), German critic and litterateur, published several works on drama and poetry, including a book of his own verse in 1736.
