Integral address leaf on verso of the second leaf which also advertises for "Agents wanted for the year 1855 for new books of permanent value". Also advertising "books for the American people," "Sears' pictorial works," and printed "Recommendations" from Hamilton Fish (Governor of N.Y.), Edward Hitchcock (President of Amherst), and Christopher Morgan (N.Y. Secretary of State, and U.S. Representative from N.Y.). OCLC locates several copies of the prospectus (a single sheet) for the revised edition of the following year, but not this. Item #50893
