The book appeared under three separate imprints in 1824, of which this appears to the rarest - only Columbia in OCLC. In this edition the title varies considerably: the printed title reads as above; the engraved title reads "lives of illustrious characters of antiquity; and the wrapper title reads, "lives of eminent men, of all ages and countries."
