Strong's book of designs: a masterpiece by a master (in colors)

Detroit, Mich. Detroit School of Lettering, 1910. Oblong 8vo, 90 leaves printed on rectos only of a variety of designs in black and white in color, "containing in all, air brush designs, posters, show cards, business cards, letter heads, sign ends, ribbons, scrolls, panels, book covers, hanging signs ... ornamental work, along with nine brand new alphabets." Original black leather-grained cloth, title gilt direct on upper cover, upper free endpaper creased, a recipe for rice salad written on verso of last leaf in pencil; a near fine, sound copy in a new black cloth clamshell box. Besides running an advertisment and lettering business, Charles Strong founded the Detroit School of Lettering. Item #51355
