Edition limited to 430 copies (this, no. 418); 4to, pp. [4], 4, vii-xiv, 93, [1]; vignette title within ruled borders and printed in red and black, 8 tipped-in color plates by Claud Lovat Fraser, woodcut decorations and music in the text; contemporary full red levant with a large diamond lozenge enclosed by a single rule border, the binding signed on the rear turn-in "19 M. J. N. 22." The binding scuffed and worn; a good, sound copy. Inscribed, "This copy to Mrs. Nelson Doubleday with kindest regards from Sydney Pawling xxi.ix.21." With a 4-page tribute to Claud Lovat Fraser by John Drinkwater as part of the preliminaries. Pawling is likley the famous British cricketer from Middlesex. Item #52500
