James J. Hill's own personal copy, with an inscription to him from Chetlain on the flyleaf. Chetlain was the first man from Illinois to volunteer in the Civil War and a good friend to Ulysses S. Grant. The book covers his military career as well as the regional history of Galena, Illinois. Item #53438
