Contemporary relevant clippings laid in. Called a "perfect treasure of information for the man of science" and acclaimed for accuracy and reliability by contemporary reviewers (Allibone). Greenwell was canon at Durham Cathedral. Rolleston was Oxford professor of anatomy & physiology, best known for developing "type" system of zoological instruction. Item #5418
