Eleventh edition, tall 16mo, pp. 158; original full calf; boards rubbed and bumped, bottom of spine chipped; contemporary owners' signatures and notations on endpapers and flyleaves, including a list of bank accounts. One of the many "pocket calculators" published throughout the US in the 19th century. Little is known of Fenning. He was a compiler of several school texts, including an arithmetic, a geography, and a speller, the last of which had notable popularity in America before Webster. Item #54608
