The Golden Eagle sails trans-Atlantic to Europe in 1907 to observe the Kiel Regatta in Kiel, Germany, and the Bilbao Regatta, Bilbao, Spain, 1907, and make merry with the German and Spanish royalty and dignitaries. The Golden Eagle was a steel yacht of some 500 tons, one hundred and fifty feet overall and was owned by Sir Samuel E. Scott, Bart., M.P. John Phillips Reynolds, Jr. (1863-1920), a member of the Eastern Yacht Club in Marblehead, was Scott's American guest on the Golden Eagle. Item #55528
