After battling a long illness which kept her bedridden through much of 1841, she spent a year teaching Sunday school, and in 1843 married the Rev. Henry J. Van Lennep, a missionary for the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. Shortly thereafter, she sailed with him and her father to the mission in Smyrna, Turkey. She died of dysentery in Constantinople a year later. Accompanied by the seventh edition of the same, Hartford 1851 which contains an engraved frontispiece of Mary which is lacking in the first edition. Sabin 30926. Item #55716
