Contains a list of the members from 1752 to 1819. Sectional title page for Laws of the Marine Society at p. [9]; with several contemporary ink annotations in the margins, including five names added to the membership list at the back. Fairman is not found in Hamilton's Early American Book Illustrators and Wood Engravers. A 1906 Goodspeed catalogue notes of David Fairman (1782-1815) that "this is the only example of the engravers work I have seen.
