A memorial of Wendell Phillips from the city of Boston

Boston: printed by order of the city council, 1884. 8vo, pp. 70; engraved portrait frontispiece; original olive cloth stamped in gilt on upper cover and spine; ex-Weston College Library, with their stamp on title page and first page of text, and small accession numbers at the base of the spine; all else very good and sound. Wendell Phillips (1811-1884) was one of the greatest abolitionists of his day, and a powerful advocate for Native Americans. Almost half the text is given over to G. W. Curtis's eulogy. See BAL 4347.
