Andrews is noted on the title as being Minister of the First Church and Religious Society in Newburyport. On pages 27-29 are "Directions for recovering persons who are supposed to be dead from drowning," published by the Humane Society of Philadelphia in 1805, and recommended by this Society in 1806. Also, Odes for 1811 and 1812, "Funds of the Merrimack Humane Society," "Premiums adjudged by the trustees since the last publication," "Officers of the Merrimack Humane Society, for 1812," and locations where the "Inflators, Fumigators, Electrical Machines and Grappling Irons belonging to the Society" are deposited on pages 30-32.
