Kittle M.D. with kindest wishes from Douglas Guthrie Jan. 31, 1962." Also contains a type-written note to Kittle, dated January 31, 1962. A short history of traveling medical scholars. Douglas Guthrie (1885-1975) was a Scottish doctor who was very active in establishing the history of medicine as an academic field. He was instrumental in the foundation of the Scottish Society of the History of Medicine and the British Society for the History of Medicine. Item #57735
