First edition, 8vo, pp. [5], 6-20, [2]; uncut; self-wrappers, stitched, as issued; fore-edge lightly chipped; top edge of front wrapper torn away, likely removing a signature; no text missing; lightly foxed throughout. Eliab Stone (1737-1822) was ordained the pastor of north Parish of Reading in 1761 and served in some capacity until his death. His son, Micah Stone (1770-1852) served as the Reverend of Brookfield. Includes also "A charge, by the Rev. Ephraim Ward, of Brookfield" on pp. [25]-27; and "The right hand of fellowship, by the Rev. Aaron Bancroft, of Worcester" on pp. [28]-30.
