London: Sampson Low, Marston & Co., Ltd, 1928. 4to, pp. [2], xxvii, [1], 324; 16 color plates and 170 illustrations on rectos and versos of 43 plates at the back; a fine copy in original ochre buckram, dust jacket partially renewed, preserving the front panel laid down over patterned glassine; with a chip out at the top of the spine and with manuscript titling on spine. Alphabetical list of what seems to be a couple hundred ships, with histories of each and often an accompanying illustration from prints in the MacPherson collection, with additions "in order to make this primary work of reference as complete as possible."
