N.p. [Chocorura, N. H.?]: n.d. Early advertising broadside (by sight approx. 16" x 10" in frame), for Homes Studio in Chocorua, incorporating an original mounted photograph captioned "Even winter has it's [sic] attractions." A curious piece of Eastman-Kodak ephemera. The caption for the photograph appears to be printed from type. "Home studio, Chocorua, N. H." looks to have been made with a stencil. And the rest of the text looks to be either hand-lettered or made with a stencil. Chocorua was the home of Elizabeth Hadley Richardson (1891-1979), the first wife of Ernest Hemingway. "Mount Chocorua is commonly known in the area as the 'Matterhorn' of the White Mountains due to its triangular summit. Chocorua Lake ... at the southern base of the mountain, is a common stopping place for photos of the mountain landscape" (Wikipedia). Item #58500
