[New England: 1919. Oblong 8vo (approx. 7" x 11"), 31 leaves and containing sixty-two 3.5" x 5.75" photographs; bound with: "1919 New York State. Some scenes in and around Beaver Spring Farm, Davenport, N.Y" [from a card pasted to the 32nd leaf], 6 leaves containing eleven 3.5" x 5.75" photographs: landscapes, beach houses, cabins, family members, windmills, lighthouses, sand dunes, sailors, ferry boats, a donkey, a dog and a stream in New Paltz; bound with: "Some new scenes of Y.M.C.A Kamp Kaimesha a beautiful mountain section of northern New Jersey, August 1919" [from a card pasted to the 38th leaf], 8 leaves containing fourteen 3.5" x 5.75" photographs; tents, campers, canoes, diving & swimming; Kamp Kaimesha was a Y.M.C.A. boys' camp on Quick Pond in Sussex County, N.J.; bound with: a color lithograph of Teddy Roosevelt (approx. 10" x 6.5"); bound with: a photograph of the "grave of Teddy Roosevelt as it appeared August 30, 1919 / floral tributes from all parts of the world are daily placed on his grave / a true blue American." Also with an American flag pasted above it; followed by 3 leaves with six 3.5" x 5.75" photographs; several pictures of the grave and surrounding landscape; bound with: "By special permission of Mrs. Roosevelt the following pictures were taken on Aug. 30, 1919 by A. A. Rippel - the Roosevelt home and scenes on the grounds at Sagamore Hill, Oyster Bay, Long Island, N.Y." [from a card pasted to the 51st leaf], 6 leaves containing eleven 3.5" x 5.75" photographs; scenes of Sagamore Hill, the Trophy Room (exterior), summer house ("where Roosevelt passed so many hours"); and, a "chair made entirely of horns presented to Roosevelt when president by the citizens of Tacoma, Washington"; bound with: "Newport," [from a card pasted to the 59th leaf], 5 leaves containing seven 3.5" x 5.75" photographs; landscapes, the Old Stone Mill, statue of Channing; bound with: "Dartmouth College," [from slips pasted to the 63rd leaf], 15 leaves containing seven 3.5" x 5.75" photographs; hospital, college park, quadrangle, Rollins Chapel, stone tower, Massachusetts Hall, Connecticut River, and a red oak. Together, approximately 120 photographs and a color lithograph in a single album of limp black morocco, string-bound, with "Photographs" in gilt on upper cover; some wear along the edges but the binding is sound and the photographs nicely composed and in very good condition.
