London: designed. etched and published by George Cruikshank 23 Middelton Terrace Pentonville & sold by Charles Tilt 86 Fleet Street - Dec 1st, 1834-[36]. First edition, oblong 4to (approx. 7¼" x 10½"), title leaf plus 36 mostly composite plates (several hundred illustrations); later three-quarter brown morocco, gilt title on upper cover from the cloth-bound edition, gilt lettering on spine; upper cover reattached, some scuffing; internally about fine. Originally issued serially in 9 parts, the last part being issued June 25, 1836; this copy almost certainly a cloth-bound edition given the titling on the upper cover and the presence of the title leaf "which was not issued with the parts" (Cohen).
