Top edge gilt indicative of BAL's state 'A'. With 2 small University of Virginia bookplates, one showing a gift from James A. Harrison, and another from the 'Poe Alcove' showing that it's a donation from the author. Small UVA rubberstamp on verso of title. This copy inscribed on front endpapers: "Presented through Prof. James A. Harrison" and in another hand: "With the compliments of the author and publishers Madison Cawein and John P.
