[Virginia Beach, VA]: n.d., [ca. 1963]. 4to, approx. 200 unnumbered typed but largely photocopied pages divided into categories such as humor, memory, peanut oil, soul development, prehistory, etc.; text on rectos only. Punch bound with stiff paper covers, very good. Described as a "circulating file prepared for loan to members only of the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc." A Note adds: "The extracts in this files are not to be used as a perscription or the treatment of a disease. Except for non-critical home remedies, all medical information should be used under the supervision of a licensed physician. The A.R.E. cooperates with physicians. The analyses of medical case histories from the Edgar Cayce records, and the texting of their patterns of treatment, are part of the research program of the Association for Research and Enlightenment." Duplicated from transcripts of Cayce's readings, mostly from the late 1920s to the 1950s. Cayce would enter a trance-like state and answer questions on supernatural matters, as well as provide medical diagnoses and treatments.
