Inscribed by the editor on the title page: "For Jeremiah, Mark Burstein / G4G X." 'Jeremiah' is Jeremiah Farrell, the late mathematician and puzzler (see Wikipedia). And "G4G X is the tenth biennial edition of the Gathering for Gardner conference, an educational foundation and non-profit corporation devoted to preserving the legacy and spirit of prolific writer Martin Gardner, founded in part by Jeremiah Farrell. Contributions by Justin Schiller, Selwyn Goodacre, Scott Kim, Christopher Morgan, Martin Gardner himself, and a host of others, on Lewis Carroll, mathematics, puzzles, and fond memories.
