Album of 26 photographs depicting a trip through Japan

[Kyoto]: [early 1900s]. Accordion fold album, 3½" x 5¼", 26 silverprint photographs tipped in measuring approx. 3½" x 4½"; padded brocade boards, top and bottom edges gilt; boards edge-worn, a few photos faded, one leaf cracked and repaired with the residue affecting a photograph, images in very good condition, depicting landscapes, cityscapes, scenes from a zoo with camels and cranes, a river trip, western tourists, and a group of Japanese military men. A pencil annotation on the inner board says "Mrs. Thordsen's Japan trip c. 1910." An umbrella company advertisement places the trip, or at least part of it, in Kyoto. An interesting and nicely done collection of original photographs. Item #63434
