Georges Carpentier (1894-1975) was a French boxer, actor, and World War I pilot. He fought mainly as a light heavyweight and heavyweight in a career lasting from 1908 to 1926. He was the world light-heavyweight champion (1920–22) and a European champion at four different weight classes. Among his bouts were those with Gene Tunney and Jack Dempsey. Item #63470
