Negro and Puerto Rican populations of New York City in the twentieth century

Large folio portfolio (approx. 18" x 13"), containing a large bifolium of text in triple column, 5 large folding plates showing 12 maps (8 in color), light wear, but generally very good to fine, complete with all the requisite parts. This copy with the several owership signatures of John R. Borchert (1918-2001) a member of the University of Minnesota geography faculty from 1949 to 1989, and Regent’s Professor Emeritus in Geography. The map library at the University is named in his honor. Laid in is a stapled 14-page 11" x 8½" typescript "Black Population in New York City, 1900-1980, by Hee-Bang Choe together with an accompanying 9 sheets of various sizes showing 10 "figures," including maps, graphs, and 2 color illustrations.
