Early ownership signature of H A Herbert at the top of each title page. H. A. Herbert is possibly Henry Arthur Herbert (1756-1821) of Muckross, County Kerry, in Ireland, MP from 1782-1786. Leaf A12 in volume II is wanting, and bound without the 4-page Longman catalogue which is found in some copies; the readings on p. 309 and 359 in volume III are in the second state.
