Aiken's first novel
Blue voyage
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1927. First American trade edition, 8vo, pp. [8], 318; original blue cloth, unclipped dust jacket with spine a bit sunned and the lower panel a little toned, with a short break at the lower fold and ink smudge at the bottom; all else about fine. A signed, limited edition appeared the same year, and the British edition, which precedes the U.S. edition, contains a slightly variant text. The attractive dust jacket by Cleo Theodora Damianakes (a.k.a. Cleon, and later Cleo Wilkins) is unique to this American trade edition. Item #69492
