Interesting map showing both private and government railways, private electric tram lines, steamer lines, air service lines, prefectural boundaries, transportation routes, hot springs, shrines, temples, resorts, castles, national parks, and 'strategic zones'. An early owner's gift inscription on the verso dated 4/22/44. OCLC locating 4 copies (Chicago and the Newberry only in the U.S.), and noting that this map has been removed from: Japan for the young, published by Board of Tourist Information, Japanese Government Railways, 1937.
