First American edition, 12mo, pp. [4], 251; chromolithograph frontispiece and 5 chromolithograph plates; original brown cloth recased, with original gilt-lettered spine laid down; binding slightly cocked, one internal signature badly browned due to poor quality paper, a few spots and stains, but otherwise a good, sound copy of an attractively illustrated American juvenile.
