Foreign devil
[Minneapolis]: Coffee House Press, [1996]. 11" x 15½" prose broadside, printed to announce the 1996 publication of Foreign Devil. More
Dear friends and colleagues,
This list contains nearly 150 back-stock broadsides from the Coffee House Press, one of the nation’s leading independent literary publishers, here in Minneapolis. Coffee House Press began as a small letterpress operation in 1972 and has grown into an internationally renowned nonprofit publisher of literary fiction, essay, poetry, and other work that doesn’t fit neatly into genre categories.
Also included are broadsides from the precursor of Coffee House, the Toothpaste Press. Both operations were inaugurated and run by the late Allan Kornblum, poet, fine printer, and publisher.
Many of these broadsides are available in multiple copies, while others are present in only a copy or two.
